Exploring OSH with higher education students thanks to OiRA and Napo

Students and teaching personnel from the Department of Public and Community Health – School of Public Health of the University of West Attica in Athens will soon have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in occupational safety and health (OSH).

During a workshop, they will explore many aspects of preventing and managing workplace risks, with an emphasis on psychosocial hazards. The same workshop will be held in two different ocassions, on 3 and 10 May. 

The importance of carrying out risk assessments will be highlighted during a live demonstration of Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tools. A special focus will be placed on OiRA materials tailored for the health and social work sectors, where these students are expected to work in the future.

The participants will also learn about OSH legislation in Greece and the European Union and about workplace health promotion programmes. Several Napo films will be screened.

This event is organised by EU-OSHA’s focal point in Greece, the Hellenic Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs along with the University of West Attica.
