Tässä tarjotut alakohtaiset OiRA-työkalut ovat mikro- ja pienyritysten käytettävissä, jotta ne voivat tehdä riskinarviointeja ja niitä voidaan auttaa laatimaan niiden omien vaatimusten mukaan muokattua dokumentoitua arviointia. Työkalut ovat vapaasti ladattavissa, ja niitä pääsee käyttämään helposti napsauttamalla asiaankuuluvaa linkkiä. Jokaisessa linkissä on lyhyt kuvaus työkalusta ja sen kehittäneen OiRA-kumppanin nimi. Työkaluja voidaan etsiä maan, kielen ja alan mukaan.

COVID-19

In 2020 during the onsets of the pandemic EU-OSHA has developed this tailored tool to support safe working conditions under COVID-19 restrictions. In 2021 this revised version has been published, now covering a broader range of activities and including more information on testing and vaccination. The interactive tool can help in identifying, assessing and managing the risks posed by COVID-19 and ensuring that workers come back to a safe and healthy environment. It includes information on how to handle crucial aspects like physical distancing and hygenic measures. It further covers a range of situations, including what to do if a worker has COVID-19 symptoms, travelling to and from work safely and managing external service providers.

The HORECA sector (hotel, restaurant, café) encompasses a wide variety of workplaces and workers from this sector are exposed to a series of occupational hazards. The most important risks relate among others to slips and trips, burns, hazardous substances and stress.Occupational safety and health (OSH) management is essential not only to create healthy workplaces but also to reduce costs and other negative consequences of work related accidents and sick leaves. Risk assessment is the cornerstone of OSH management and helps employers to identify the risks and take appropriate measures. Therefore, the Social Partners of the European HORECA sector, EFFAT (European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions) and Hotrec (Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes) have developed together an OiRA tool to support small and medium sized companies in the proper management of occupational health and safety risks. The tool has been developed at EU level and serves as a basis when developing an OiRA HORECA tool at national level. Useful information on how the EU directives have been transposed into all national legislations can be found on the website of EU-OSHA.

The tool can be used by any manufacturer of ready-mixed concrete and concrete and lime stone solutions. It is applicable both to mobile and stationary installations. The major organizational requirements related to health and safety are covered as well as major risks related to the site, production process, maintenance and repair of equipment, use of vehicles, presence of visitors and their safety, the management of psycho-social factors and working hours as key conditions for ensuring the health and safety of workers and the visitors of the production site. Measures for emergency planning are extensively reviewed, as well as measures for prevention and reaction in case of fire and disasters.

Printing sector

The tool is intended for companies operating in the printing sector and covers printing on paper (books, stationery, advertising materials, newspapers, etc.). Prepress, bindings and other finishing works are not dealt with. The tool considers the risks, typical for the main processes, related to the use of machinery and equipment, storage of large volumes of raw materials and production, loading and unloading operations, internal transport, manual handling of loads, etc. Addressed are also topics related to the factors of the working environment: microclimate, illumination, noise, dust and toxic agents in the working environment. Psychosocial risks and work organization are also covered. The tool is an easy way to improve the working conditions of the workers in the printing sector.
