Tässä tarjotut alakohtaiset OiRA-työkalut ovat mikro- ja pienyritysten käytettävissä, jotta ne voivat tehdä riskinarviointeja ja niitä voidaan auttaa laatimaan niiden omien vaatimusten mukaan muokattua dokumentoitua arviointia. Työkalut ovat vapaasti ladattavissa, ja niitä pääsee käyttämään helposti napsauttamalla asiaankuuluvaa linkkiä. Jokaisessa linkissä on lyhyt kuvaus työkalusta ja sen kehittäneen OiRA-kumppanin nimi. This sector involves the production of various products such as butter, fresh cheese, curd, cured cheese and buttered cheese, with milk as the raw material. This OiRA tool addresses the main hazards / risks that exist in the various working areas of SMEs in this sector, from receiving and storing raw materials, to packing and shipping, the entire manufacturing process, cold chambers and maturing chambers. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial and stress risks, as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. It allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to control those risks and also produces an action plan to be implemented.

In fruit and vegetable companies (producers of jams, pastas, sauces and preserves) the main risk factors are associated with standing, improper postures, manual handling of loads, high temperatures and humid environments, the use of machines with unprotected moving parts, lack of training of workers and disregard for the correct use of safety devices and the safety instructions provided by the manufacturers. Thus, this OiRA tool addresses the main hazards in the various work areas, from receiving raw materials to storing finished products. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial risks (including stress), as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. It allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to control those risks and produces an action plan to be implemented.

Bakeries

Bakers / confectioners work in facilities where bread, cakes, fresh pastries, snacks (fried, tender dough and puff pastry) and regional confectionery are made. Their work is demanding and is carried out under difficult environmental conditions. The work is mostly performed under artificial light, at high temperatures accompanied by variations in humidity, in the presence of breathable particles, explosive atmospheres and excessive noise. The existence of night work, exposure to biological agents and manual handling of cargo are other risk factors present in the manufacture of bakery / pastry products naturally affecting all who work there. Thus, this OiRA tool addresses the main hazards that exist in the various work areas, from receiving raw materials to storing and shipping final products. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial and stress risks, as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. It allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to control those risks and also produces an action plan to be implemented.

Meat Products

The processing of meat products has several risk factors, namely those related to the use of hand tools, cutting machines and equipment, the manual handling of loads, standing static work, the existence of slippery floors, exposure to low temperatures and various biological agents, among others. This OiRA tool addresses the main hazards / risks that exist in the various work areas, from receiving and storing raw materials to storing finished products naturally throughout the manufacturing area. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial and stress risks, as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. OiRA Life performance - productions has been developed for and by the sector. The tool is adapted to the specific characteristics of the sector, such as the stage environment, stage related works, special elements used on stage, props, costumes, make-up and wigs, rehearsal, artists, the public and extra’s and so on. Apart from the risk analysis itself, a lot of tips are given on ergonomics, material, personal protection equipment etc. The tool contributes  to better working conditions in the sector which will lead to healthier and more motivated workers.

During the development of the Belgian tool OiRA bakeries, the potential risks associated with the bakers ' sector have been put under the microscope and have shown that companies need to be more attentive to the risks they incur. These risks are for example related to slips and trips, farinose, risks related to the customer, etc. The OIRA Bakery tool is the result of an intensive collaboration between the employers ' and trade unions ' organisations in the bakery sector, Foodo (food industry adviser) and SPF Emploi.

In most hairdressing salons, everything is geared around the client. Sometimes hairdressers disregard their own health, leading to health problems such as hairdresser eczema or wrist, neck and shoulder complaints. This often forces them, even while still very young, to abandon the profession. This tool has been created to identify and evaluate safety and health risks in hairdressers salons. It addresses the most common risks in a salon and gives tips on how to eliminate or prevent them.

The first OiRA tool developed in Belgium was designed specifically for the hairdressing sector. It is the result of intense work and rewarding cooperation between workers’ and employers’ organisations in the hairdressing sector and the SPF ETCS.
