Tässä tarjotut alakohtaiset OiRA-työkalut ovat mikro- ja pienyritysten käytettävissä, jotta ne voivat tehdä riskinarviointeja ja niitä voidaan auttaa laatimaan niiden omien vaatimusten mukaan muokattua dokumentoitua arviointia. Työkalut ovat vapaasti ladattavissa, ja niitä pääsee käyttämään helposti napsauttamalla asiaankuuluvaa linkkiä. Jokaisessa linkissä on lyhyt kuvaus työkalusta ja sen kehittäneen OiRA-kumppanin nimi. Personal services – nail studios

Installation and removal of classic or semi-permanent nail polish, false nail application with gels or resins, nail art decoration are all activities that expose workers, mostly women, to products containing dangerous chemicals. Some of the substances contained in the resins, glues, solvents and varnishes used by nail technicians can lead to the occurrence of cutaneous and / or respiratory allergic reactions, which are responsible for 75% of the professional pathologies diagnosed in this sector. The most common ones are allergic contact dermatitis, which causes an inflammation of the skin that can lead toworkers having to stop working in the sector. In addition repetitive gestures, prolonged, constrained sitting work postures, vibrations of tools, etc. can also promote the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). To help professionals in this sector to identify and assess different risks, a this new OiRA tool has been developed by INRS in collaboration with stakeholders from the sector.

The new OiRA tool for the „Hairdressers and beauty salons“ has been developed and published in Lithuania. The tool is created for all companies and self-employed persons, that provide hairdressing and beauty services to the society. The tool covers the main risks at work, such as chemicals, cosmetics, electronic devices, skin irritation, slips and trips, ergonomics, personal protective equipment etc.

The HORECA sector (hotel, restaurant, café) encompasses a wide variety of workplaces and workers from this sector are exposed to a series of occupational hazards. The most important risks relate among others to slips and trips, burns, hazardous substances and stress.Occupational safety and health (OSH) management is essential not only to create healthy workplaces but also to reduce costs and other negative consequences of work related accidents and sick leaves. Risk assessment is the cornerstone of OSH management and helps employers to identify the risks and take appropriate measures. Therefore, the Social Partners of the European HORECA sector, EFFAT (European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions) and Hotrec (Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes) have developed together an OiRA tool to support small and medium sized companies in the proper management of occupational health and safety risks. The tool has been developed at EU level and serves as a basis when developing an OiRA HORECA tool at national level. Useful information on how the EU directives have been transposed into all national legislations can be found on the website of EU-OSHA.

The tool will help users to identify the risks in one’s company and offers measures to deal with them. This generic OiRA tool is intended for micro and small enterprises engaged in the catering sector.

This tool is for hotels and restaurants. The main hazards of these activities are manual handling, slips, falls, trips and psychological factors as well as hot surfaces and biological factors. In order to minimize these risks, the key preventive measures are training, job re-placement, knowledge of stress relief principles and etc.
