Tässä tarjotut alakohtaiset OiRA-työkalut ovat mikro- ja pienyritysten käytettävissä, jotta ne voivat tehdä riskinarviointeja ja niitä voidaan auttaa laatimaan niiden omien vaatimusten mukaan muokattua dokumentoitua arviointia. Työkalut ovat vapaasti ladattavissa, ja niitä pääsee käyttämään helposti napsauttamalla asiaankuuluvaa linkkiä. Jokaisessa linkissä on lyhyt kuvaus työkalusta ja sen kehittäneen OiRA-kumppanin nimi. Työkaluja voidaan etsiä maan, kielen ja alan mukaan.

This tool is intended for micro and small companies to conduct their safety and health risk assessment. The tool focusses on waiters working in cafes, hotels, restaurants and similar spaces (indoors and outdoors), also including occasional work outside the employer's premises (e.g. at events). A broad variety of risks is covered including slips, trips and falls, ergonomic risks due to long standing,  uncomfortable working positions and manual handling of loads, psychosocial risks and much more.

The tool is made to assess the risk of working in the kitchen of a restaurant, bistro but also includes work done occasionally outdoors (events, etc.). A broad variety of hazards has been addressed, especially mechanical hazards while handling hand tools (risk of cuts), hazards from slips, trips and falls, thermal hazards due to handling hot objects, unfavorable microclimatic conditions, ergonomic risks due to long standing and bent body positions and due to carrying heavy loads (raw materials for food preparation, large pots, etc.), as well as psychosocial risks.

During the development of the Belgian tool 'OiRA Immo’, the potential risks associated with the real estate sector have been analysed and have shown that companies and their workers need to be more attentive to the risks in their business. The tool is adapted to the specific characteristics of the sector. On the one hand there is an extensive module on office work, but on the other hand there are also modules with specific attention for the safety and health of employees who work on site (cleaning, management and maintenance of buildings). In addition to identifying the risks, solutions are provided to manage them. The tool contributes to better and safer working conditions in the sector which will lead to healthy and motivated workers.

The HORECA sector (hotel, restaurant, café) encompasses a wide variety of workplaces and workers from this sector are exposed to a series of occupational hazards. The most important risks relate among others to slips and trips, burns, hazardous substances and stress.Occupational safety and health (OSH) management is essential not only to create healthy workplaces but also to reduce costs and other negative consequences of work related accidents and sick leaves. Risk assessment is the cornerstone of OSH management and helps employers to identify the risks and take appropriate measures. Therefore, the Social Partners of the European HORECA sector, EFFAT (European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions) and Hotrec (Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes) have developed together an OiRA tool to support small and medium sized companies in the proper management of occupational health and safety risks. The tool has been developed at EU level and serves as a basis when developing an OiRA HORECA tool at national level. Useful information on how the EU directives have been transposed into all national legislations can be found on the website of EU-OSHA.
