Les outils sectoriels OiRA présentés ici sont mis à la disposition des micro- et petites entreprises pour procéder à des évaluations des risques, en les aidant à produire une évaluation documentée spécifiquement adaptée à leurs exigences. Ces outils peuvent être téléchargés gratuitement et sont facilement accessibles en cliquant sur le lien correspondant. Chaque lien est accompagné d’une brève description de l’outil et du nom du partenaire OiRA qui l’a développé. La recherche d’outils peut être effectuée par pays, par langue et par secteur.

The former version will still be available until end December 2020 on the webpage of the Italian authorities, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the National Institute for Workers' Compensation. New risk assessments should however only be done with this new version. All risk assessments done with the former version are also still available under each individual account when logging in.

This sector involves the production of various products such as butter, fresh cheese, curd, cured cheese and buttered cheese, with milk as the raw material. This OiRA tool addresses the main hazards / risks that exist in the various working areas of SMEs in this sector, from receiving and storing raw materials, to packing and shipping, the entire manufacturing process, cold chambers and maturing chambers. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial and stress risks, as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. It allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to control those risks and also produces an action plan to be implemented.

In fruit and vegetable companies (producers of jams, pastas, sauces and preserves) the main risk factors are associated with standing, improper postures, manual handling of loads, high temperatures and humid environments, the use of machines with unprotected moving parts, lack of training of workers and disregard for the correct use of safety devices and the safety instructions provided by the manufacturers. Thus, this OiRA tool addresses the main hazards in the various work areas, from receiving raw materials to storing finished products. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial risks (including stress), as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. It allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to control those risks and produces an action plan to be implemented.

Bakeries

Bakers / confectioners work in facilities where bread, cakes, fresh pastries, snacks (fried, tender dough and puff pastry) and regional confectionery are made. Their work is demanding and is carried out under difficult environmental conditions. The work is mostly performed under artificial light, at high temperatures accompanied by variations in humidity, in the presence of breathable particles, explosive atmospheres and excessive noise. The existence of night work, exposure to biological agents and manual handling of cargo are other risk factors present in the manufacture of bakery / pastry products naturally affecting all who work there. Thus, this OiRA tool addresses the main hazards that exist in the various work areas, from receiving raw materials to storing and shipping final products. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial and stress risks, as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. It allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to control those risks and also produces an action plan to be implemented.

The processing of meat products has several risk factors, namely those related to the use of hand tools, cutting machines and equipment, the manual handling of loads, standing static work, the existence of slippery floors, exposure to low temperatures and various biological agents, among others. This OiRA tool addresses the main hazards / risks that exist in the various work areas, from receiving and storing raw materials to storing finished products naturally throughout the manufacturing area. The tool also addresses issues associated with emergencies, psychosocial and stress risks, as well as structural, environmental and occupational safety and health management hazards / risks. It allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to control those risks and also produces an action plan to be implemented.

This tool is intended to be used in both private and public offices’ activities and is covering all workers, whose definition is established by the Article 2, decree 81/2008. It can be used by employers to carry out the final risk assessment document, including the related prevention measures as well. The tool can be particularly useful for micro, small and medium sized enterprises. As established by the Article 29, paragraph 6 quater, decree 81/2008, a national tripartite group realized a tool strictly addressed to risk assessment in offices, using the OiRA software. The tool deals with the most common office tasks: the use of computers, secretary activities, relation with customers and providers and archiving of documents. Some jobs are excluded from the tool such as archivist and warehouse worker. In case of any risks and/or tasks not strictly related to the common office activities, the employer needs to incorporate the missing information in the risk assessment document.

This tool deals, among others, with the main hazards/risks in the various work areas; from standing or sitting postures to the use of computers, printers/photocopiers and guillotines. It also addresses the psychosocial and stress risks to which workers might be exposed, the problems associated with emergencies, as well as structural/environmental hazards/risks and occupational safety and health management. The tool allows an assessment of existing risks, suggests measures to be implemented to control these risks and produces an action plan that users can adopt in order to manage health and safety in their office.

The OiRA tool is intended for micro and small enterprises in this sector primarily. The use of the tool by businesses is expected to shape the health and safe conditions at the workplace, to improve the level of protection for workers, as well as to support the efficiency and competitiveness of the industry at the same time.
