This tool is intended to companies working in the forestry sector. The sector is characterized by a high proportion of serious and fatal accidents. Besides there are plenty of other risk factors to consider such noise, vibration, unfavourable temperatures, climate changes, painful postures, heavy physical load etc. The tool starts with the identification of hazards and assesses the level of risk. Following that it guides the user to choose the most suitable preventive actions to eliminate or reduce the identified risks. The tool includes tips on ergonomics, work equipment, personal protective equipment, etc. It allows employees to be protected from accidents resulting from falling trees, to decide on measures to reduce the load on the back and joints, to minimise the risk of hearing loss due to high noise levels, as well as to introduce the main principles of fire protection and much more. This tool is an easy way to improve working conditions in any company working in the forestry sector. Using this tool can contribute to keeping workers healthy, motivated and with good work ability.

Electricians

OiRA tool for electrical work is a great tool for general risk assessment when doing electrical work. This tool is mainly focused on basic electrical work and is designed for small or medium sized companies. This tool does not replace more complex risk assessments for bigger or more complex projects were there are very high safety standards. But it´s a great tool as a basic risk assessment for companies without access to any risk assessments. This project is a collaboration between Rafmennt and the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health in Iceland. All hints regarding this tool can be sent at andri@ar.is.
