This tool is meant for small and micro companies offering dry cleaning and laundry services. The activities covered include receiving unclean and delivering clean clothing, bed sheet and similar, performing dry cleaning and washing of such goods, ironing, stacking and sorting. A broad variety of risks is covered by tool, including the risk of falls from height as well as slips and trips, chemical hazards due to the use of cleaning chemicals, unfavourable microclimatic conditions due to work in areas with high heat and humidity as well as ergonomic risks due to working in  static and/or uncomfortable position.

This tool is intended for small and micro companies, to assess the risk of cleaning facilities. It may also be used by larger companies providing cleaning services e.g. in retirement homes, schools, kindergartens, shopping malls, large office spaces, etc. A borad variety of hazards is addressed in the tool. An emphasis is put on falls from height as well as risks of slips and trips. Biological hazards due to possible exposure to infectious material are included and ergonomic risks such as long standing and uncomfortable positions are addressed. Psychosocial risks are included such as working with difficult customers and clients.

This OiRA risk assessment for the performing arts helps to identify the main occupational risks, to eliminate or reduce the harm caused by them by various measures, and to print an action plan in the reporting section.

The tool has been developed for and by the sector. During the development of the Belgian tool 'OiRA Immo’, the potential risks associated with the real estate sector have been analysed and have shown that companies and their workers need to be more attentive to the risks in their business. The tool is adapted to the specific characteristics of the sector. On the one hand there is an extensive module on office work, but on the other hand there are also modules with specific attention for the safety and health of employees who work on site (cleaning, management and maintenance of buildings). In addition to identifying the risks, solutions are provided to manage them. The tool contributes to better and safer working conditions in the sector which will lead to healthy and motivated workers.

The live performance sector encompasses artistic productions and workplaces with a great diversity of elements to be considered in relation to occupational health and safety. The tool covers, among other things, the technical elements in relation to set, rigging and stage; the special elements, stunts and artistic performance activities on the stage; the chemical and hazardous substances used in special effects; frequent high noise levels; and the presence of an audience. Considering these risks, it's clear that a sector-specific risk assessment is vitally necessary to prevent accident and injury. The tool is focused on venues such as opera houses, theaters, etc. that are hosting different live productions.
