This tool is intended for companies providing taxi services. The sector is characterized by multiple risk factors such as poor ergonomics leading to pain and musculoskeletal disorders, psychosocial aspects like dealing with difficult clients or violence, manual lifting of heavy weights etc.The tool includes tips on how to better prevent employees from the risks identified. It includes tips on reduction of workload and improvement of work organization. It helps reducing accidents at work and enables better prevention against occupational diseases. Using the tool contributes to keeping workers healthy, motivated and with good work ability.

During the development of the Belgian tool 'Buses and coaches', the potential risks associated with the sector have been analysed and have shown that companies and their workers need to be more attentive to the risks they incur. The tool is adapted to the specific characteristics of the sector, such as the bus as a working environment with specific attention to the safety and security of the driver, the depot, the garage, …In addition to identifying the risks, solutions are provided to manage them. The tool contributes to better and safer working conditions in the sector which will lead to healthy and motivated workers.

The passenger road traffic tool has been created by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health together with social partners: The Finnish Bus and Coach Association, Employers' Federation of Road Transport, Transport Workers’ Union AKT and The Centre for Occupational Safety. The tool is meant for micro and small bus and coach companies to help them managing successfully occupational safety and health risks in their daily work.
