The tool helps identify and evaluate the risks of butchers and meat processing companies. The tool covers a wide range of risks including cuts due to the handling of knives,  thermal risks from handling frozen pieces of meat or from working in refrigerators and MSDs due to static standing postures or the handling and transferring of large pieces of meat. The tool is not intended for slaughterhouses.    

Employees, crews, performers and all other staff involved in audiovisual productions are constantly exposed to risks that can lead to injuries and other health repercussions. This tool is intended to anyone who aims to assess the health and safety risks related to audiovisual productions such as feature films, short films, documentaries, television series, commercials, video clips, video art, virtual reality and so on. The EU OiRA tool is the result of the project titled “Developing an Online Interactive Risk Assessment tool for film and TV productions” and was developed in a cooperation between the European Social partners of the sector, the European Coordination of Independent Producers (CEPI), the International Federation of Actors (FIA), the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF), the International Federation of Musicians (FIM) and UNI Europa - media, entertainment & arts and with the support of EU-OSHA.

The tool has been developed for and by the sector. During the development of the Belgian tool 'OiRA Immo’, the potential risks associated with the real estate sector have been analysed and have shown that companies and their workers need to be more attentive to the risks in their business. The tool is adapted to the specific characteristics of the sector. On the one hand there is an extensive module on office work, but on the other hand there are also modules with specific attention for the safety and health of employees who work on site (cleaning, management and maintenance of buildings). In addition to identifying the risks, solutions are provided to manage them. The tool contributes to better and safer working conditions in the sector which will lead to healthy and motivated workers.

This tool is intended for companies processing food. Typically, occupational health and safety in this sector covers safety aspects caused by working with equipment. However, this sector is characterized by multiple risk factors such as: poor ergonomics including poor work postures, repetitive movements, manual lifting of heavy weights, organic dust, chemicals used for cleaning and disinfection etc. The tool includes tips on reduction of workload and improvement of work organization, fire safety, workplace ergonomics etc. It helps reducing accidents at work and enables better prevention against occupational diseases. Using the tool contributes to keep workers healthy, motivated and with good work ability.

The apparently routine activities of the Real Estate Agencies, in fact, pose hazards and harbor risks from many different sources. Besides the traditional ones, related to office work, risks may also arise from contacts with various clients and viewing and visiting sites, including ones under construction. Finally yet importantly, there exist risks related to road accidents and to exposure to biological agents, sometimes present in already occupied properties.In line with the above-said characteristics of the activity, this OiRA tool allows to evaluate the risks inherent in the business in a user-friendly manner and to set appropriate measures for their elimination / minimization.

This tool is intended for mining and quarrying companies, especially for those who perform their activity in mineral surfaces and extractive industries. It includes mandatory modules like the risk factors, including explosion and fire risks, and also risks associated to heavy equipment (excavators, dredgers, tractors, sifting machines and so on) which can be activated according to the works in the quarries. This tool includes works like the falling of trees and bushes in the quarries.
